Austria by Rail

A comfortable way to travel in between cities and towns is by trains. They are a frequent service, and you also have an extensive rail network that links Austria with the rest of Europe. Most trains have first and second class, and in the daytime they operate at least every hour between Vienna and Salzburg and every 2 hours between Vienna and Innsbruck, Graz or Villach. Daytime trains have dinning cars or mobile service with snacks and beverages (at least most trains do) and night time trains have sleeping cars or couchettes.
